Do you know another, slightly more formal, expression that meaning “because of” or “as a result of”?
“In view of” is a nice replacement to mean exactly that. Look at the following examples:
- In view of the recent terrorist attacks, new security measures have been implemented.
- In view of the change in weather, people carry an umbrella with them.
- In view of the climate change issues, governments are starting to take drastic measures.
- They had to let some of their staff go in view of the decrease in sales.
