Have you heard the expression “It’s water under the bridge before”?
Try to guess the meaning from these examples:
- Forget it mate. It’s water under the bridge now.
- He told me that he didn’t hold a grudge and that it was water under the bridge.
- We fell out years ago, but that’s water under the bridge now and we are back to the way we were before.
- It’s not water under the bridge for me. I still haven’t forgiven him for what he did.
