CRYSTAL CLEAR TIPS

Better late than never

Another very common and useful expression. Everyone has opportunities to use this one, at least in our opinion, and it will make you sound more agile in your English.

We think that the expression itself is self-explanatory, but here are some examples anyway.

  • Happy Birthday. I’m sorry for the late wishes. – Don’t worry. Better late than never. Thank you for your wises.
  • The package arrived a day late, but you know what? Better late than never.
  • She finally realised in her 40s that she was in the wrong career. Better late than never, right?
  • We finally got there right after the meal started, but better late than never.

What do you think? Easy, right? Share your own examples with us in the comments section.
