Have you ever heard the expression “we don’t see eye to eye”?
This is an excellent phrase to express having (or not) the same opinion as someone. I have to say that when someone uses it with me, I am impressed. Of course there are many ways to say “agree” but this one is a favourite of ours:
Here are some examples for you:
- They love each other but they have rarely seen eye to eye about politics.
- There are very few points we don’t see eye to eye about.
- They are cousins but they don’t really get on. They don’t see eye to eye.
- The partners see eye to eye about most things but when it comes to this employee they disagree.
What do you think? Would you like to give it a go and write to us with some of your examples?
